First participation of the Canadian women’s ice hockey team in its history at the World Championships. Two wins in the demo games against the United States.

2018 Canada Deaf Games – Winnipeg, Manitoba

2017 World Championship – Sochi, Russia

2017 Canadian Championship – Edmonton, Alberta

The team was the 2017 Canadian champion, and silver medallist at the 2018 Canada Deaf Games.


Team Alberta & Team Canada – Women’s Curling

2018 Canada Deaf Games – Winnipeg, Manitoba

2017 World Championship – Sochi, Russia

The team was the 2018 Canada Deaf Games champion. Bronze medallists at the 2017 World Championships. The team will represent Canada in women’s curling at the 2019 Winter Deaflympics.


Canadian Men’s Ice Hockey Team

2017 World Championship – Amherst, US

Silver medallist. The team took part in three consecutive Wold Championships and won medals in 2009, 2013 and 2017.


Canadian Swimming Team

2017 Summer Deaflympics – Samsun, Turkey

A team of six swimmers, whose the age average was 17 years old. They participated at the Deaflympics, and these swimmers have a bright future ahead.


Team British Columbia – Men’s Curling

2018 Canada Deaf Games – Winnipeg, Manitoba

The team won gold by winning against the 2017 World Champions at the 2018 Canada Deaf Games. It will represent Canada in men’s curling at the 2019 Winter Deaflympics.
