Cancellation of the 2026 Canada Deaf Games (CDG 2026)

April 2nd, 2026 — It is with sadness and regret that the Canadian Deaf Sports Association (CDSA) announces the cancellation of the 2026 Canada Deaf Games, which were scheduled to take place in Edmonton from June 15 to 20.

This decision follows a recommendation from the Alberta Deaf Sports Association (ADSA) and its organizing committee, and has been endorsed by CDSA, primarily due to insufficient registration numbers to ensure the viability of the event.
