2026 Canada Deaf Games

The 2026 Canada Deaf Games will be held in Edmonton, Alberta, from June 15 to 20, 2026.

CDSA in collaboration with the Provincial Deaf Sports Association organizes the Canada Deaf Games (CDG). The CDG don’t have a ‘competition’ component like the World Championships or Deaflympics, but also a ‘participation’ component in a friendly atmosphere. They also offer a great opportunity to meet other Deaf and hard of hearing athletes from other provinces as well as to lead an active lifestyle. However, the most important goal of the Games is to have fun!

SPORT SAFETY

Sport safety is a shared responsibility. To foster a respectful and caring environment, we ask every athlete, member of the mission staff, and volunteer to commit to completing a training course and participating in a workshop on this topic. Together, let’s ensure a healthy, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone.

Around May 15, you will receive awareness information on this topic from your provincial Deaf sports association (BCDSF, ADSA, MDSA, ODSA and ASSQ). You will have plenty of time to review the material at your own pace. If any points remain unclear, please rest assured that an in-person information workshop will be held on June 15 to answer your questions. Each participant will then be asked to sign a commitment to respect these rules before the start of the competitions on June 16.
