Vaunn has a multi-sport background. He played Ontario club volleyball from U14-U18, secondary school volleyball at Hamilton District Christian High School and currently plays for St. Clair College. He has been an assistant coach with the Ancaster Lions Volleyball Club. This will be Vaunn’s first experience representing Canada at an International Deaf event.

Vaunn is looking forward to “seeing what the world has to offer in the sport of volleyball, competing at a higher level against guys that have been playing longer than I’ve been alive. But I am mostly looking forward to the life experience and knowledge I will gain from being in another country and meeting new people.”

His goals for your competition are “to play my best and learn new things about the sport. I hope we place within the top 5.”

Aside from volleyball, Vaunn is working to attain his personal training certification this year.
